Outdoor Lighting Tip

A post mount style outdoor light is a great way to illuminate front yard walkways, garage areas and driveways. When selecting post mount lights keep in mind that it’s better to go larger in size than smaller. Lanterns will appear about half the size from fifty feet away that they do up close, so from the street they can look rather small if undersized. Also, the longer your driveway or path the more post lights you’ll need. A spacing of around ninety to one hundred and twenty feet is good. This gives you enough light to act as a reference at night, and also creates interesting pools of light to mark the way up the drive or pathway.
